Family Therapy
The family is an ever-changing system. I often like to work with the whole family, as I see the identified patient as someone who is operating within an ecology. I will observe the dynamics within these relationships and work with the family to improve their communication and problem-solving skills to address the underlying issues.
Some common concerns with familes that can be successfully addressed in therapy include:
Behavioral problems in children or teens
Changes within the family
Communication problems
Death of loved one
Divorce, separation, or marital problems
Parent-child conflicts
Problems between siblings
Parenting issues
Stressful events or major life transitions
